The Children’s Hospital for Rehabilitation,
offers both inpatient and “Day Hospital” services for
children recovering from trauma, surgery or a complex,
acute hospital stay.
Inpatient Care: For young patients who need complex
medical and nursing care, we offer rehabilitation and
post-acute care, for example when children require
technology such as ventilators. We also treat children
who are recovering from intensive care, and children
with brain injury, respiratory problems, spinal cord
injuries, neuromuscular conditions or complications
from premature birth, and others.
Day Hospital: Children who do not need overnight
hospitalization may receive care in our Day Hospital.
This Monday-through-Friday daytime program lets children
go home each evening while getting the benefit of
intensive treatment.
Children who are discharged from both our inpatient
and Day Hospital programs are better able to participate
in the world. In addition, their parents or caregivers are
confident about managing their care and are able to
advocate for their child’s needs in the community.

Hospital programs, call 216.448.6035.
